Best Orange Chicken Ever Recipe

If you love Asian cuisine and usually only have when you do take-out, you have to try this recipe. The sweet orange sauce with the spicy brings this dish over the top! The take-out your used to getting will be a disappointment after making this.

  1. You can marinade chicken in 1.5 cups of sauce for 1-2 hours. I prefer better without marinating. I think it gets to sweet, try it both ways and see what you like the best.
  2. In med sauce pan combine all sauce ingredients and bring to boil and reduce to simmer and let this simmer for 1 hour until reduced.
  3. In a pie pan add 2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder, mix together and dredge cubed chicken.
  4. In another pie plate add eggs and whisk
  5. In a large pot add oil, turn heat on med/high and wait for it to get hot.
  6. dredged chicken in egg and then flour (a few pieces at a time) fry until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Just before you are finished frying, bring sauce back up to a boil.
  9. Place the chicken (Snap peas optional) on a large platter and pour the sauce over.
  10. Sprinkle with toasted black sesame seeds, toasted silvered almonds and green onions.
  11. Serve with rice.
  12. Note... If you don't marinade you'll have extra sauce. You can freeze it for next time :)
