• 3 cans albacore tuna, drained
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced thinly
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • pinch of dill
  • pinch of garlic
  • 6 slices bread, toasted

Tuna Melt with Capers & Avocado

Great sammie for Meatless Mondays, Lent or just because it’s delicious!!

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 425
  2. Toast bread slightly
  3. In a med size bowl add drained tuna, capers, mayo, onion and seasonings
  4. Mix together and spoon onto toasted bread
  5. top with sliced avocado then cheese
  6. Place in oven and cook until melted
