• ½ head of one large cabbage
  • One med onion (diced)
  • 3 stalks celery (diced)
  • 4 cups water
  • 6-7 cups milk
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup corn starch
  • ¼ cup chicken base
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pepper to taste

Cabbage Au Gratin Soup ~

Here’s hearty and luscious soup!

Directions

  1. In your large soup pan combine butter and corn starch until bubbly.
  2. Add your cheese and milk until well blended then add chicken base.
  3. Add the water, veggies and spices bring to boil keep stirring to keep from scorching.
  4. Then simmer until veggies are to the consistency of your liking.
